The humble turmeric, long used in Indian food and known for its medicinal properties, is the latest age fighting ingredient on the block. A new anti-ageing cream being developed by Procter and Gamble, US is making use of the antioxidant properties of this kitchen staple to fight the signs of ageing. These antioxidants can neutralise free radicals, reducing some of their collateral damage, which includes fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots on the skin, says cheri Swanson, senior scientist at Proctor and Gamble Beauty and Grooming.
